On 30 January, EASO and EU-FRANK project representatives from across Europe met in Malta to work together on a new EASO Training Curriculum module on Resettlement.
The purpose of the workshop was to gain feedback from a larger group of EU Member States on the training material developed so far for the first three chapters of the resettlement training module (Identification, Selection, and Pre-departure measures).
It was also an occasion for the future beneficiaries of the trainings to get involved in their development by engaging in a dialogue with the drafting experts, EU-FRANK project members and EASO experts. The workshop was attended by 30 participants representing 15 different countries.
The EU-FRANK project supports EU Member States in developing their operational capacity to resettle persons in need of international protection. It is led by Sweden, in close partnership and consultation with authorities in Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, as well as EASO, UNHCR, the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC), IOM, and the Migration Policy Institute (MPI).
